Nah, this one isn't Bendis' best. The Owl is a boring villain and the story barely moved anywhere. And there is way too much dialogue. The subplots didn't bring much to the story. The art style is nice at least. ( )

This continues the "Daredevil" storyline in which Matt Murdock is dealing with the repercussions of having been "outed" by an associate of the Kingpin (who makes his return in this compilation). Daredevil wages war against the Owl, who has been sold the structure of the Kingpin's empire. But the main interest here is a new potential love interest in Matt's life, a blind woman who Daredevil rescued named Milla Donovan. She shows immense promise as a strong and vital force in Matt's life, and it is good and enlightened that her own blindness is generally treated as an incidental thing. Additionally, I am becoming quite enamored of Alex Maleev's subtly layered artwork. ( )
