I have recommended his books to dozens of people, but this just doesn't keep the same company. I was hoping for a compelling theological argument for the 'convergence' of the Calvinistic stream and the Charismatic streams of theology and experience. Instead, it's all autobiographical. It is one story after another of 'miraculous' events. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a cessasionist, but those who are will have a field day with this book. It's typical argument from experience instead of scripture and theology. Besides, his stories are less than compelling (seeing Wheaton written on a blackboard can hardly be miraculous confirmation of a call - providential maybe, miraculous, not).
