When Giovanna's twin brother runs for student council president, Giovanna agrees to be his campaign manager. However, Giovanna's boyfriend Jesse decides to campaign for another candidate so Giovanna impulsively dumps him for his disloyalty, which she soon regrets.

This is a hilarious romantic comedy as Giovanna campaigns for her brother while trying to figure out how to get her ex-boyfriend back. ( )

Eh. It was a cute, sweet little feel-good teenage read. I don't say that because it's YA, or even because it takes place in High School. There are plenty of YA reads that take place in H.S., yet have interesting themes, dark storylines and the kind of stuff that makes you go, "This is for teenagers? Really?"

But this book is just the sort of bland, the world-always-works out teen fare I suspect I was supposed to read as a teenager. Meh. ( )

A light, airy read that will have you laughing out loud until the very end.
When Giovanna’s twin brother, Dante, decides to run for Student Government President her life is turned upside down. What’s so difficult about this election you ask?

Tired of the elitist snobs running the School, Dante devises a plan to take them down a notch (or two!); becoming Student Government President. Problem is Giovanna’s boyfriend happens to be one of those snobs. Stuck between her boyfriend and her twin, Giovanna has some hard decisions to make.
After dumping her boyfriend to become her brother’s campaign manager, Giovanna and Jessie soon lose sight of the election and focus on the battle of the exes... Banter quickly becomes flirting and Giovanna along with her best friend (of course) comes up with a crazy plan to take the ex out of ex-boyfriend, and win Jessie back. But Jessie is hiding a huge secret that will threaten to keep these two apart forever. ( )

This book was not something that I would normaly pick up. But, I saw it at Half Price books and decided to buy it because I remembered Rallisons names from another book that I had read and liked. I read this book and liked it. It was a quick read that did not take but about one day. I hope that other people will pick up the book and read it and Rallisons other books. I will be sure to look up Janette Rallison's other books and take a look at them. ( )

3 out of 5 stars. It's a cute story. Definitely had some unexpected twists that made me want to find out what would happen next, but it wasn't as good as I would have liked it to be. However, I did like the main characters .... especially with all of the antics that Gi got herself into without even trying. =0)

I bet you CInderella didn't get along with Prince Charming's friends. Oh sure, the knights and barons probably put up with her on account that she was pretty and had such dainty feet and all, but you know every duchess and countess in the kingdom hated her guts. That's how women are when someone encroaches on their turf.
