Good so far, but I’m far more interested in the rock and roll Nana than the boy crazy one. ( ) Ah, Nana, Nana. The story of the two of them rooming in Tokyo is okay. Nana #1 is still annoying. Nana #2 is still super cool but sad inside. They're both looking for love. . . . There were so many pages ripped out of this manga! Actually, there wasn't much lost as far as story continuity which is good. I plan to watch the Japanese movie when I get it from the library. It will be subtitled in English. It's ages since I've seen a Japanese movie. Looking forward to it. Not sure if my husband will be all that excited, but he'll give it a go. (No robots or monsters in this one.) For the sake of sanity, I'm going to call Nana Komatsu 'Little Nana' and Nana Osaki 'Big Nana'. Moving towns; a new apartment; a new job; a new roommate...AAH! ADULTING IS HARD! I'm not sure if this volume is inspiring me to leave the nest or to live in my parents' attic my whole life... But standing on my own two feet does sound exciting and I could make my own place in the world. And...Little Nana is still annoying. This series is currently on hiatus at 21 volumes. "Nana Volume Two" was flat note. There were references to other works which made it difficult to follow. For instance, when Kyosuke, a friend, points out that Nana's apartment may be haunted that's why it's cheap. Nana comments, "Like Adam? Like with ghosts? What?!" The reader gets a blurb telling her that's a reference to some other work, but its rather confusing and it seems irrelevant to the plot or character development. In essence, the plot of "Nana Volume Two" is relevant. A young woman, Nana, leaves home for the first time to travel to the big city, Tokyo, and make her own way. Nana wrestles with the notion of living with her boyfriend but decides it would be better to live with a friend, also named Nana, who she met on the train to Tokyo. This other Nana is a dark mysterious antithesis to the other Nana. This book is loaded with melodrama and character that are truly predictable. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
