I'm a Terry Moore fangirl. We should start there.

I did a reread of this series as it's about to draw to a close in a week or two, and it was time to play catch-up with one of my favorite ever authors and his latest series, before it ends and the newest one begins. I love the beginnings of this series. All the people are so defined and yet we don't know how they all work together, why, where it is going.

I love the scientific quotes from the beginning. Referencing the endings and beginnings we've seen before. What we are and aren't learning from. I also love that our main character is an Everyman Archetype. ( )

Not as great as Strangers in Paradise (at least not yet), but definitely worth reading! ( )

This is the first Terry Moore comic I've read, and I have to admit that the many accolades he'd gotten from comic book fans had me nervous he wouldn't live up the hype. But this comic really was fantastic. The art was beautiful and expressive, and Moore is not afraid to make his characters fully dimensional, giving them real flaws and real lives. And the plot was nothing to scoff at either. Will definitely be picking up the rest of this series. ( )

After completing the successful twelve year run on his seminal creation, [book:Strangers in Paradise], Moore recently turned his artistic attentions toward his next endeavor, Echo. The science fiction series centers around photographer Julie Martin, who after an explosion, discovers a powerful atomic armor adhering to her skin. Moore wisely relies on his strong sense of characterization especially his portrayals of women, both as an artist and writer. Echo: Moon Lake collects the first five issues as Julie attempts (poorly) to come to grips with what has happened to her. As with all Terry Moore stories, this first volume piques the reader's interest, leaving us wanting more.
