Exciting and engaging conclusion! Although in order for this story to work you have to assume every adult is just grossly irresponsible regarding children...I understand the author wanting to incorporate many different types of diving but in what world are 14 year olds allowed to scuba down hundreds of feet into the ocean virtually unsupervised? Moving on...

I really like several of the characters in these books, in particular Star and English. Competent, passionate, and pissed off 90% of the time. 👌 ( )

SUMMARY

Star Ling, a diver from the Poseidon’s Oceanographic Institute, awakes at a hospital with no memory of what happened. The author creates a sadly mood and we notice that something bad is happening. When her friends visited her, she instantly remembered why she was there. The groups of divers were investigating a sunken boat and an incident occurred, the Captain Vanover died and Star survived. The kids knew that there was a treasure in the Nuestra Señora Boat that is sunken in the Caribbean Island of Saint-Luc, which they would have to find before other treasure hunters get it.
The Captain Torrington ordered English to bring back the dead body of Captain Vanover for his burial, so Kaz argued that he could help him in the mission. As Torrington gave him permission, they dived about 250 feet into the sea and searched the body. Finally, Kaz found it and survived to the attack of a white shark.
As Star continued her recovery, she found in internet that Nuestra Señora was sunk due to an hurricane, which also caused a English vessel called The Griffin to sunk. Star searched about a small carved piece which was in the first vessel and explained its importance and value to Adriana, another diver from Poseidons Research Sub.
When Kaz, Dante and Adriana met with Star, they decided to dive again to search the hidden treasure, despite Star could not go with them. The group of divers prepared the special suits and dived in search of the billion dollars treasure. As they reached the sunk vessels, they saw the precious metals and the gold bars, but the problems started. Sharks began to appear and they had to compete with other treasure hunters, as Cutter and Marina. Star was waiting at the surface, but when she heard that there were problems, she instantly forgot what the doctor told her and decided to help them. Finally they found the carved figure of a mythological creature and take the gold out of the sea, but sadly, the government impounded all of it.
The four friends decided to went back to home and Star saved the figure that belonged to the Captain of the Sunken ship. When they were in the airport, the x-ray machine picked the emerald on her back and when she took it out, it caught the light and started to shine magnificent.
