As this story is taking place you are also introduced to Martha Spicer, a store clerk who hasn't had much happen to her in her life and who isn't liked be many. She will find herself inheriting a home and some money when her Uncle and Aunt pass away. When she moves into her home she will discover a boy next door who will open her eyes and her heart to love and understanding. Eventually Martha and Janice will cross paths and then both stories will come together and a lovely ending will take place.
I always appreciate this author's wholesome stories, which often contain some adventure, always an enduring romance and often heartwarming triumphs of people faced with the problems of life and love. But what I most appreciate is how she always weaves into her stories the message of God's salvation through Jesus Christ. ( )
