I think that students will enjoy having the pictures and will be able to follow along, learn more vocabulary words, and learn interesting facts about the sun. Altough, I think the book could have been a little more interesting, I am afraid that students would get bored. I am sure that there are specific students would enjoy it more though than others. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Young readers ages six and seven will learn about the sun, its age, its place in our solar system, how it differs from Earth, and more in this Scholastic Science Vocabulary Reader that introduces first- and second-grade students to the star that is the center of our solar system. Using pictures, diagrams, and a simple text to help strengthen reading skills and vocabulary, the book addresses three main topics: What Is the Sun?, The Hot Center, and The Super Sun!. In each section, Fast Fact boxes relate snippets of information related to the sun.
A glossary and three comprehension questions help young readers assess their understanding of the information presented in the book.
Highly recommended, especially for students interested in science, the sun, the solar system, and /or space exploration. ( )
