Back in 1999, Dave Wolverton began the Jedi Apprentice series about Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan before The Phantom Menace, which from the second book was written by Jude Watson. She followed that up with Jedi Quest, about Obi-Wan and Anakin before Attack of the Clones, as well as two novels about their exploits during the Clone Wars. Then came The Last of the Jedi, about Obi-Wan and a number of the recurring characters from JA and JQ in the time after Revenge of the Sith. Nine years and forty-two books later, it's all come to an end with this, the last installment of LotJ. And while I found the last few installments of the series pretty unremarkable, the conclusion here is spot-on, sending the Empire after the fledgling resistance groups and Ferus Olin into a superb confrontation with Darth Vader. The darkness closing in around Our Heroes is done perfectly, showing exactly why by Luke's time the power of the Empire is absolute and indomitable. And I would have never guessed the final fate of the most of characters would be so grim in what is ostensibly a children's series! It's weird that for the first time in my life there'll be no more Jude Watson YA Star Wars novels to buy, but for the most part, it's been a good ride. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
The shocking conclusion to The Last of the Jedi series! Former Jedi apprentice Ferus Olin must choose -- the way of the Jedi... or the dark side? The fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
