Only a baby's big sibling can comfort her.[return][return]Very sweet story about older siblings' charms and fascination for their littler ones. ( ) In this story, baby Louise is crying and no one can get her to stop no matter what they try. Her brother, Daniel, is able to get her stop by saying "Oonga boonga." However, after he leaves to play, Louise starts crying again. When the other family members say, "Oonga boonga," she does not stop crying. When Daniel returns, he says, "Bunka wunka" and she stops crying. Students can develop phonological awareness and discuss rhyme with the phrases Daniel uses to calm Louise. They could also come up with their own nonsense rhyming phrases that they would use to calm Louise to practice. Students can learn and practice making inferences and reading between the lines by discussing what really makes Louise stop crying (her brother Daniel, rather than the words he says). They can predict what will happen (when the other family members try to say Oonga Boonga). nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
