The Chicken Sisters is a very interesting book about learning how to accept people and things. In the book, all of the neighbors hate the chicken sisters because they can not bake, knit, or sing and everybody was getting annoyed with them. One day comes the big bad wolf who was bored and just wanted to scare everybody. Everybody was scared of the wolf so they hid and avoided him. The chicken sisters invited him into their house and baked, knit and sang for him but it was so bad he ran away. All the neighbors seen that the chicken sisters were able to run him off so now they have to learn how to put up with them. The illustration in the book was very fun to look at. ( ) This is a really cute story about sisters who are chickens. The eldest loved to bake, but couldn't see very well. The middle sister loved to knit. The youngest sister loved to sing, but she couldn't hear very well. The neighbors would complain about all the noise that was made. One day a wolf moved in to the neighborhood and wanted to get to know all the neighbors. Everyone was scared of the wolf. Before i read this book, i only knew that this author wrote the "If you give.....series". This book differs from her others in that the styling is not rhyme patterns. Despite not rhyming, it was still very engaging. This book is about three sisters that are chickens. Each sister does something different. One chicken likes to knit, one chicken likes to cook, and the other chicken likes to sing. The sisters are not very good at what they do, but they still tell each other how good they are doing. The neighbors do not like the chickens until in the end when the wolf shows up. This is another longer book written by Laura Numeroff. I really enjoy reading her longer children's books because it gives me a chance to learn more about her writing. I did not really enjoy this book but I learned that her writing is beautiful no matter the story. This story is a twist on the big bad wolf nursery rhyme. She definitely likes to take the well know nursery rhymes and make her known story out of them which I think is really creative. Three unique sisters, each with a different skill, are not highly liked by their neighbors because of their passions in life. When the big, bad wolf moves into the town the chicken sisters become the perfect target for him to scare. However, the wolf soon realizes that they are not as easy to deter as he assumed. The sisters frighten him off from their city, and running home to his mommy! This book sends the positive messages that we should accept each others differences and to be respectful of one another. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
