Fantasy. Fiction. Thriller. Humor (Fiction.) HTML:Gerald Dunwoody is a wizard. Just not a particularly good one. He's blown up a factory, lost his job, and there's a chance that he's not really a Third Grade wizard after all. So it's off to New Ottosland to be the new Court Wizard for King Lional.

It's a shame that King Lional isn't the vain, self-centered young man he appeared to be. With a Princess in danger, a talking bird who can't stay out of trouble, and a kingdom to save, Gerald soon suspects that he might be out of his depth. And if he can't keep this job, how will he ever become the wizard he was destined to be...

THE ACCIDENTAL SORCERER is the first novel in the Rogue Agent trilogy, from one of fantasy's newest stars.

I never finished this book, I gave up reading it which is very unusual for me. I found it lacked a plot and just seemed to bumble along without any concise storyline/plan. So much possibility but completely wasted. ( )

This was a fun book, with a lighter tone than I expected, and interesting characters. The story was compelling enough that I stayed up til the wee hours of the morning to finish it, and didn't regret that choice. ( )

Professor Gerald Dunwoody is a Third Grade Wizard. Just not a very good one. After blowing up a staff factory and losing his job, Gerald is desperate to prove that he can be a competent wizard. Now it's off the New Ottosland, as the new Court Wizard to King Lional.

Along with his companion, a talking bird that wasn't always a bird, Gerald soon discovers that King Lional is not what he appears to be. With a princess in trouble and a kingdom to save, Gerald suspects that he may be out of his depths. Armed only with a power he doesn't fully understand, Gerald finds himself in the fight of his life. How it ends is anyone's guess...

The Author, K. E. Mills, does a terrific job giving her characters personality and depth. As the story unfolds I find myself being drawn into its world and becoming invested in its outcome and the well being of its hero.

Well-written with just the right amount of humor. This book was fun to read and difficult to put down. I look forward to reading the remainder of this series and well as other books written by this author.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys snarky humor. ( )

Lovely book with fun, laughable, lovable characters. I really felt for poor bumbling Gerald, was intrigued by his talking bird-friend Reg, and was alternately in love with and infuriated by Princess Melissande. I read this book all in one go because I just could NOT put it down. After reading it, I jumped up and quick looked to see if there was anything else by K.E. Mills I could read, and wasn't I just pleased as punch to see this is the first in a series? (Book 2 - Witches Incorporated - was, sadly, not anywhere near as good as book 1.) ( )
