"What are some of the discoveries I have made? I found I needed people because I needed the love they could give me. I found that love was something I did. I found that the way I showed people my need and love for them was to tell how it was with me in my deepest heart. I came to feel that was the most loving thing I could do for anyone -- tell them how it was with me and share my imperfections with them. When I did this, most people came back at me with what was deep within them. This was love coming to me. And the more I had coming to me, the more I had to give away. I ain't much, baby -- but I'm all I've got." From his experience comes "I Ain't Much, Baby -- But I'm All I've Got." Lair originally wrote this book for his students, but when it gained widespread popularity he rewrote it for publication. It is a book meant to help people share in the success of finding themselves.… (altro)

LO IMPORTANTE DE ESTE LIBRO ES EL FACTOR TIEMPO, PORQUE TODO CAMBIO ES DIFICIL, POR LO QUE DEBE HACERSE GRADUALMENTE PARA LOGRAR QUE SE ARRAIGUE EN LA PERSONALIDAD.

This is a lovely book, probably the first self help book I read with a simple message that shines though - love and accept yourself no matter how you preform and how others judge you - A simple message but also pretty revolutionary as even a lot of self help book seem to have the message 'improve yourself so that you are worthy of love'!

Jesse Lair turns the thing around and argues that inside us all there is a real authentic self that is deserving and capable, of giving and recieving love, and that pretty much the essential step to contacting that autentic self in 'self acceptance' just as we are right now! The book is written in a warm style from the angle of the authors own personals discoveries as he tried to make sense of his life and to find some concepts that worked in turning it around. I would highly recommend this read. ( )
