An often very clever satire of the adult film industry at just the time when it was becoming part of mainstream life through the easy availability of xxx video tapes. A young man, fresh form a small town, rather unbelievably makes a small fortune producing porn films in the guise of sex education. (I not sure that this ruse was still in use in the 80s when this novel takes place.) With his new-found money he seeks a place in country club society, and becomes sexually involved with several women simultaneously. His cover is exposed, and, as they say, comedy ensues. Often quite funny, although there is a certain ick factor when an author of DeVries's age at the time, impersonates an ever-Priapic twenty-something. ( )
