This book is a riddle. The king cannot decide which of his twin sons deserve to inherit the throne. So, he presents them both with the same riddle to see of they can solve it. Their answers prove how different they really are...what will you guess? ( )

This book has a great morale to this story. It is about twin brothers who will become king one day. One of the brothers cheats and always wins, but this backfires and he does not get to become king. You could discuss with the class, after reading this book, why you should not cheat and the affects that cheating can have. ( )

After reading you could talk about why the king would want to choose the prince that lost the race. Ask how would they decide who the prince should be?
