Good book to introduce adding minutes.

This is a really great book to introduce students not only to time, but also counting on a number line. The illustrator does a great job illustrating time on a number line so students can learn to count on and add. It also shows the reader that time can go by fast. Along with the bright and lively illustrations, the author does a great job of keeping the reader engaged with the rhyming words and the story told through the eyes of the dog. Hopefully by reading this book to students, they will grasp some concept of time, counting on a number line, and adding on. I would recommend this book for grades 1-3. ( )

Through using the timing it takes for one little girl to get ready in the morning this book is teaching how to add. Throughout the pages it uses a number line to keep track and allow the reader to follow along too. Beautifully illustrated. Great math tie in book. I also enjoyed the rhyming.

This is a story that was in her school reading books. It was bout getting up in the morning and getting out the door and how long it takes .. has math aspect to it . ( )

A young girl is getting ready for school and she counts how long it takes to her get ready in the morning. Each thing she does takes a certain amount of time and she adds it all up and figures out that it takes her 36 minutes to get ready for school. This a great math book for young children to help them add.
