The grasshopper goes along playing his fiddle and singing while the ants work in the hot sun. Grasshopper ask "why are you working?" and "why dont you come play?" The ants respond by telling the grasshopper that they are preparing for winter or else they will not have any food. As the days grew closer to winter, grasshopper was still trying to get the ants to play. He believed that they all had plenty of time to prepare for winter why not enjoy the summer. Winter had finally come and the ants were inside their warm and cozy home. The ants were dancing and singing. Well, poor grasshopper was left in the cold with nothing to eat. Then, he knocked on the ant's door and they allowed him in. They brought him blankets and gave him plenty of food to eat! This is a great book to me. I believe it teaches children to be responsible or their will be consequences. I also believe it is a great way to teach children to be kind to others, even though he chose not to be responsible. ( ) This is a classic fable retold by Disney. It was the same basic premise of a grasshopper not taking the time to prep for the winter and the ants doing the opposite. The grasshopper learns the importance of work and preparation once winter hits and the ants have to help him. I thought it was a fun rendition of the story. This book can teach students about getting their work done first and playing afterwards. It also teaches about sharing and helping others in need. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
