Another great installment into the MBI Railroad Color History series. As always a volume punctuated by excellent photographs which document nearly the entire history of this railroad which dared expand across the sun-baked Southwest. Steve Glishinski races through the history of the Santa Fe Railway like the Super C sped across the Midwest, between Chicago and Los Angeles, yet provides a seemingly comprehensive account of a most interesting timeline. He paints as interesting of a picture as one might have seen from the dome car high balling it to Clovis, NM. ( ) nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
A classic and colorful tribute to the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, the best-known railroad in the world. Beginning in 1860, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway quickly grew to become the premier transportation company in the US. Its hallmark was fast, high-quality freight and passenger service, including the famous Super Chief, El Capitan, and The Chief luxury passenger trains for those traveling between Los Angeles and Chicago. This book is filled with archive and color photos of the locomotives, trains and events of the Santa Fe Railway, from the 1950s through today. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
