The Jedi's actions in the past book have been twisted and manipulated. Seeds of mistrust have planted in some Senator's minds that the Jedi want to contril the Senate. Something I am sure Palpaine either orchastrated himself or just used to his advantage.
Was happy to see Bail appear to defend the Jedi and the gov't system.
Bog is such a fake. Only cares about his image & clearly easily manipulated if he thinks it will furhter his power/career.
Palpy already furthering his power by exceeding his term limit. Can't anyone see the coruption?
Republic & Senators are corrupt.No wonder Obi doesn't trust them. AnD just who would keep the peace if they outlawed Jedi involvement?
Palps is already molding Anakin for his distiny teaching him about Senate dealings. Anakin deals with pleasing others' needs and not his own and Palps will of course use that.
Loved the trip to Dex's diner. This is where i felt the book picked up after the Senate BS. A long twisted plan by Omega and CO against Palps and the Jedi. I feel it is wrong of me to kind of feel bad for Palpy LOL. Althought I doubt a Sith Lord would allow a no-confidence vote go through.
Jude did a great job describing Anakin's plan and then linking it to Palpy's plan with Bog. Set them up to fail and see your plan unfold before you & accepting your success. Brillaint set up Jude!
Very spooky that when Obi went to tell Palps of the assination attempt that he felt his instincts give him a strange warning, a feeling of dread.
What a climax in the Senate Chamber. Felt like SIdious/Yoda duel only with droids/Jedi and Senators scrambling about. ( )
