This book was meant for teens and therefore is a short, easy read. It skims the surface of issues relating to teens, introduces the bill of rights and explains briefly how America's government works. I enjoyed the book and think it is a good introduction for teens into some complex social questions. ( ) This book was meant for teens and therefore is a short, easy read. It skims the surface of issues relating to teens, introduces the bill of rights and explains briefly how America's government works. I enjoyed the book and think it is a good introduction for teens into some complex social questions. I was delightfully surprised by this book. I wanted to read it first before I give it to a young friend. The book gives great examples that teens can relate to concerning our "rights." It's a great balance of humor with real life scenarios and the Constitution's Bill of Rights. O'Reilly gives teens and pre-teens much food for thought as they navigate through life learning about free speech, freedom of religion, freedom from search and seizure, etc. What is great about O'Reilly is he gets kids to THINK FOR THEMSELVES and make their own decisions - he isn't force feeding his opinions down your throat but instead gives both sides, even three or four sides of the issues! He helps teens learn to bargain for their rights rather than always confront them blindly - to pick and choose their battles - and how to negotiate with parents in a mature and reasonable manner! I recommend this book for any child. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
