Another book I had to read at school that sucked. It was boring, the characters were whiny. I hated Carl - he's a complete pervert and I don't know why anyone would like him. The romance was cringe. The friendships were horrible. And yeah it's coming of age but frankly there are much better books out there. ( )

This is about how Matts mother dies and his sister leaves him and his brother at their aunts place. Matt has no freinds here and his brother is always in trouble. His aunt is complaining about the cost so matt gets a job and works on a barge but the barge has tough competition and Matt takes on the responsiblility of taking care of his brother. This story is very dramatic and you can visualise all the moments as if you were there!

A Bridge to Wisemans Cove, is about a teenage boy living with loses from his immediate family. He then moves to Fraser Island were him and his brother live with their horrible aunty 'aunt beryl’. The book was kind of boring and didn’t have much going on, it wasn’t my preferred reading book but it had a good plot. ( )
