Volumes 3 and 4 of the Vampire Diaries made a pretty decent conclusion, I thought. Volume 3 ends in such a way that you're left hanging, so you don't really have much of a choice except to read the fourth part. I didn't enjoy these parts as much as I did Volumes 1 and 2, and the reason for that was I found a lot of it to be really slow, and I had to push myself through some parts just to get through the book. Regardless, it did have some good action scenes, which made it at least somewhat rewarding after the parts that drug on. ( )

Books 3 & 4

I like this series a lot but it should have ended with book three. The fourth book was just really pointless and was more or less a repeat of what the last three books had been saying. However, it didn't take away from the rest of the series - it just didn't add anything. ( )
