Synopsis: Now an old man, Tay-Bodal tells a story from his youth. He was a 'practical' medicine man who actually used observational science to treat sicknesses and injuries. Because of his observational abilities, he was able to also solve mysteries. In this case, a witch is seen and it is suspected that she has killed two horses, the young wife of a chief, and made a baby sick. When Tay-Bodal's wife is accused of being the witch, he must learn the truth to protect her.
