This was a cute story about three friends who travel from place to place playing music for the village people. The three friends never settled down anywhere, or ever fell in love; they believe having each other is enough. They enjoyed bringing the joy of music to different villages, and seeing everyone have fun while they played. Years went by and the three men began getting old, and they could not travel as much anymore. It got to a point where they decided that it was time for them to settle down, because they were too weak to travel to play music. They found a little cottage together in Ballycoo, and lived pretty content. When people found out the three traveling men were staying in one place, they traveled to the men to hear them play. The three men were so happy that people enjoyed their music so much that traveled to come and see them. They felt that even though they had gotten older and weaker, that they will always be the three traveling men. I think this was a sweet story of three friends who continued to live their dreams even after they got too weak to do some of the things they use to. I think this is a good story to read to students because it teaches you not to give up on what you love, and even when things get a little tough you will find a way around the difficulties.
