Kaya is definitely the character who grows the most throughout the course of her books. In the first book she's semi annoying, and every book afterwards she grows up a lot. In these five stories she's really showing signs of getting past her weaknesses and growing into the strengths of adulthood. I think I enjoyed some of these stories more than some of her original books. ( )
