The daughter of a country preacher in Lancaster County, Becky knows the significance of sacrifice, and in her "arrangement" with God, she vows to exchange her most cherished possession for her mother's life. They can only visit through the hospital's sunroom window. A realization of the power of music and a lesson in unconditional love compel Becky to rethink her bargain with God, and the sunroom becomes a place where miracles happen. A well written little book that is easy to read. A young girl looks at a passage of scripture and interprets it for herself. She decides that she will sacrifice something she loves, her piano music and talent in the hopes that God will heal her mother's cancer. She then lives through torment as even her very sick mother asks her to play the piano for her. Doesn't that happen to us in our lives a lot? Our own torture and hell is usually brought on by ourselves. It is so hard for us to realize that God Loves Us! He has given each of us talents that we are to use for His Glory! This is a good book and a surprise ending makes it even better! I really did not expect the ending in this book. It worked well and was great to read. So many times we force our will upon the Lord, but it is so much better when we look for signs and cues pointing us in his direction, guiding our lives with his will. This book would make a fabulous coping mechanism to a tween girl whose mother is dying, but also others can learn from it as well. There are things that we do not understand in life, but really we have to give it to God and then everything will be okay. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
