He tries eating all of his vegetables, exercising, and even a growing machine, but none of them work. He confronts his grandpa about his problems and his grandpa teaches him that being big is what life is all about. This would an excellent choice for a unit about bullying. "Just Big Enough", by Mercer Mayer, is about a little boy who wants to be bigger so he can play with the big kids. He uses his parents advice by eating vegetables and exercising. He even read a comic book and made a growing machine. When he went to visit his grandparents he discovered that a small horse is sometimes faster than a bigger horse.
