This is not the best ABC book out there, but it's neat to expose your kid to the way many different artists see the world. The letters are printed on a separate page from the art, but they are in a sans-serif font, which I think is unfortunate. There is a reason most reading text is serifed; it's easier for the eye to decode. ( )

The selection of artwork in this book is appealing to children. The questions are good to get parents and children talking and thinking about art. I do not normally care for the Baby Einstein titles, but I like this one.

Young children will discover the world of fine art in Baby Einstein's The ABCs of Art. Each letter of the alphabet is introduced to children though photographs of famous works of art from Van Gogh to Warhol. In addition to learning the alphabet, children will develop a lifelong love of art through exploring the pages of this beautifully illustrated book.
