Great for a read aloud with grades K and 1. The students really enjoyed the mouse becoming a hero, saving his family. ( )

Slant rhymed, extremely short book about a mouse who triumphs over adversity to reunite his family. Amusing. ( )

“Whose Mouse Are You?” was written by Robert Krus. It’s about mice and a cat. I feel like this book is very good because I like it. I think the mouse is brave. I don’t like the pictures in this story because the mouse is big. Brave people should read this book because it’s about a brave mouse. I give this book five out of five stars! - Junho, Ivy Class, February 2018

Summary: This is a poetry book. It rhymes throughout. It is about a mouse that says he is nobody's mouse. He says that his mom is inside a cat, father is caught in a trap, sister is far from home, and has no brother. He rescues his mom, dad, sister, and gets a baby brother. He says that he belongs to his family.

Personal Reaction: This is a really cute book. I think that children would love to read it. This book is really easy to read and there is not many words so I think that really young children could read it.

Classroom Extensions: 1) I would ask each child who they belong to and to make an award for whoever takes care of them. 2) I would have each child draw and color a mouse. They can use construction paper, markers, crayons, and any other available supplies. ( )
