The title story is one of the funniest stories I've ever read. It is not sphincter-loose funny, but it is droll, and, in its way, profound. This is the kind of story that justifies a lot of dreck in science fiction. It is a work of literary genius.

The volume contains many other good stories, and one very good jape, a proposal entitled "Pyramids for Minnesota." Must reading. ( )
