The animal sequence closes with Mama Bear being seen, and the vivid illustrations demonstrate colors. I chose this books for my first share reading in kindergarten classroom, and my children love it. The book introduces many North American animals and giving small explanation of how each animal walks. The last page of the book reviews all of the animals in the book. It is a perfect book to read aloud for children in kindergarten classroom. This book would be great to utilize in a kindergarten or first grade classroom. The book is similar to a poem and involves a lot of question response dialogue. The book has simple vocabulary so that readers could utilize this book as an independent text. Each line has rhythm and is easy to understand. "Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What Do You See?" could be utilized in a lesson on understanding end punctuation and how it impacts how the story is read, or used to provide repetition of certain words.
