This is a great book for those who have a general interest in architecture and the different styles that exist. I recommend this book for novices in the subject matter but even though I have a degree in design, I found the book quiet entertaining and a great resource for referrencing. It provides modern examples and descriptions or key features that identify styles that we walk around everyday. This book also helps readers to define their style preferences better because many do not know what they are looking for or what exactly it is a hybrid of. As an interior designer, I like to give this book to clients to help them "get the creative juices flowing", enlighten them, and also determine the best design for them. ( )
