According to the family history Booth survived and was smuggled out of the country to Asia where he continued to live in misery for many years before returning to die in Oklahoma.
At the least it is a well written/researched work that contains interesting history concerning Booth's family, pictures, what they did after the war, etc...as well as giving an alternate take on the actions of Vice President Johnson and Secretary of war Stanton upon the end of the war. ( )
