Danielle Steel's gut wrenching search to figure out what is wrong with her son Nick, to enable him to grow and achieve and offer some sense of normalcy for him is incredibly captivating. You so badly want him to find the strength and desire to continue the battle and go on. This is by far her best writing. The truth and desperation draws you in and her strength in sharing her struggles to manage this tragic disease truly rip your heart open. This is a book I will never forget. Now I love Danielle Steel with everything she's got. She is truly one of the best authors in the world next to James Patterson although totally different genres. This book was the saddest and the most touching story I have ever read. It is so amazing how loving Danielle is and the things she has been through in such a long life that she is lived, and all her precious children that she has had to spend those years with. No wonder she continues to write the amazing books that she does, she can get inspiration from her own relationships and family members. She is an amazing author, her son Nick was a great kid, very handsome and loving and its a shame his life ended so soon. But for the time that he was here on earth, she was a great mother to him and I am sure he was proud to call her his mother. Love is everything and so is family. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

I want to share the story, and the pain, the courage, the love, and what I learned in living through it. I want Nick's life to be not only a tender memory for us, but a gift to others. . . . I would like to offer people hope and the realities we lived with. I want to make a difference. My hope is that someone will be able to use what we learned, and save a life with it."â??Danielle Steel From the day he was born, Nick Traina was his mother's joy. By nineteen, he was dead. This is Danielle Steel's powerful, personal story of the son she lost and the lessons she learned during his courageous battle against darkness. Sharing tender, painful memories and Nick's remarkable journals, Steel brings us a haunting duet between a singular young man and the mother who loved himâ??and a harrowing portrait of a masked killer called manic depression, which afflicts between two and three million Americans. At once a loving legacy and an unsparing depiction of a devastating illness, Danielle Steel's tribute to her lost son is a gift of life, hope, healing, and understanding to u Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
