I first read the Redwall books years ago and I still enjoy them when I recently re-read them. I love the world building and the creativity with which these animals were anthropomorphized. The level of description is really well done and very detailed. So adventurous and so very entertaining. There is only so much that can be read about the food of Redwall, mysterious riddles, and the evils of the Mustelidae. The reader did fun voices for everyone (a necessity with this kind of book) and did a lovely job of reading. I always liked the Redwall books - I have a dozen or so of them myself, including this one, since my parents gave me Redwall when it was first published. Many of the later ones were basically rewrites of the earliest few, but this one is more original than some of the others.
