A Breed Thriller #8
I missed book seven in the series but felt right at home following Breed on his next thrilling adventure.
What I liked:
* The gritty compelling introduction to the story and how Breed took care of business
* Breed: intriguing, strong, lethal, intelligent, ex-military, sniper, excellent and varied skills, independent contractor, battle-scarred, survivor, attractive to women, someone I would like to have as a friend and definitely would want in my corner if in trouble
* Anya Stein: CIA Director of Special Situations, intelligent, strategic thinker, capable, hard worker, dedicated, intriguing, not infallible, and seeing a different side of her in this story
* Hecate Kyrios: Greek, daughter of wealthy businessman, strong, resilient, will probably take over her father’s business, might have been a ship passing in the night or could show up again in a future book in the series
* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing
* That I felt I was there with Breed and a part of the story – and yet was really glad that I was NOT there – can’t imagine the training that he must have gone through to do all that he can in these books
* The twists, turns, and surprises that kept occurring
* Following the story and finding out who the bad guys were and what they were up to
* Wondering what Breed does when he is NOT working for the Stein and the CIA
* Thinking about what type of situation Breed will find himself in next
* All of it really, except…
What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Having to wait for the next book in the series
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely
Thank you to NetGalley, Inkubator Books, and the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
