I'm listening to the box set of the series, Nothing Special - 5 books in all. And 51.5 hours!!
It's read by Aidan Snow, which is how I came to put the series on my listen list, as his reading is marvellous.
The series scores 4.6, an average from 100 reviews, so I was intrigued - that's a particularly high score.
I have not registered A.E. Via before - it's interesting writing. The love scenes are well written, and not glossed over - they ARE the story. They are crafted to show an evolving relationship between Detective Cashel (Cash) Godfrey (God), and Detective Leo Day.
I wonder if such a book could be written by a man? It's intriguing how women have specialised in this MM genre. Are there MM novels written by men?
The Atlanta setting is immaterial.
Four books later I've read the story of Tech and new team member, ex-marine Edwin Steele, the enforcers Green and Bux, Syn and Furious, and the bounty hunter Judge and the sniper in the narcotics task force, Ret. Austin Michaels.

When I was looking up these titles on Audible, I glimpsed a reader's comment that they had read the books over and over. I rarely do that, but I think this series is going to break that pattern. It is such rich novelisation of this small group of men, I'm sure the second and third listens will yield lots of missed detail, and a real satisfaction in revisiting the best moments! (
