12 very short reports of true crime (mostly murders) from the 1980s. The crimes described are fairly standard fare and also ones that you may have read/heard about before, but aren’t necessarily the best-known murders of the ‘80s. Each report is 8-12 pages long, which is too short to go into much detail, and descriptions are fairly surface level. It’s a book about true crime that’s as breezy as it can be while talking about gruesome murders and violent rapes. The main downfall is its poor writing, inconsistent style, and lack of proofreading, all of which made it much more difficult to read than it should have been. ( )

As a huge fan of true crime, I found True Crime Storytime Volume 7: 12 Disturbing True Crime Stories to Keep You Up All Night to be a great read. I was intrigued with many stories. Some I have heard of and some I have not. I was captivated from start to end.

These concise stories stories deliver the facts in a way that doesn’t add needless drama or emotions. Great short reads…you decide if it’s bedtime reading!

This is a collection of murder cases that took place in the 1980's. Some are familiar and others are cases that people maybe never heard of. All are horrendous and some still need to be solved. This was really interesting and sad in cases. Well researched, but a little cut & dry. ( )

Thank you so much Librarything for allowing to have an ARC of this book. Being a lover of true crime, this was a fun easy read. There were a few stories I heard of, but then there were some that I did not know about. It doesnt go into a deep detail but it gives you enough sort of like a true crime cliffnotes which I find rather useful. Anything to bring light to some cases with no known outcome could help down the line. ( )
