Wicked Grace is the latest book in The Wicked paranormal romance series by Luna Joya. This series takes place in the same supernatural world as the author’s earlier series The Legacy. Some of the characters from the earlier books appear in this book. It does help to have read the earlier books to really understand this world, but the romance can be enjoyed without having read the earlier books. This book doesn’t have as much of an element of mystery as some of the earlier books. As in the other books, there is humour and fun characters. The romance itself was a bit predictable. The hero’s conflict was a fairly common romance trope. I did enjoy this book, and would recommend it to readers who enjoy paranormal romance. ( )

Once again, the girl he can't stop thinking about disappears for three months and Alexei can't find her due to her over-controlling adopted dragon brother.

Joelle walks back into Alexei's life during a gala and they realize the spark between them still exists. Alexei knows Joelle is his fated mate, but her healing powers and kindness make him realize he can't bring her into his world and snuff out the light. Joelle is searching for her family and origins, while hiding from Noxx, leader of the Order. Will Alexei continue to deny what the fates have given him or will he embrace the woman he's already falling in love with?

Great story and it kept me on the edge of my seat. It is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I did not read the first two. Highly recommend Wicked Grace! ( )

Action-packed with opposites attract trope!! They are likeable main characters that you are rooting for and very steamy. A must-read for anyone who loves magical/supernatural with romance thrown in! ( )

I received this book as an early reviewer. This is the first book that I've ever read by Luna Joya. I loved the book! It is not your typical paranormal romance, and the characters are not your typical magical/supernatural characters. Alexei, a demon prince, is just dominant enough to be believable, and just vulnerable enough to be likeable. No one is *super* supernatural, but they are all gifted in one way or another, and that just adds to their appeal. The book alludes to shifters and speaks of mates, but it does not use any of the descriptions and explanations that have become all too common in so many books in this genre. All of the characters (except the villain) are likeable, and you are rooting for them to win. I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it. ( )

Wicked Grace is the third installment in Luna Joya's Wicked series, following Wicked Crown and Wicked Match. Fraught with supernatural royals, the story sheds light on tortured souls regardless of their supernatural powers or their royal status.

Mafia boss Alexei is perceived to be a demon prince who will do anything to protect his family. A familiar character and one that has traversed across history. An orphan, Joelle also descends from a royal lineage and is perceived to be a sunshine princess that needs to be rescued from living in enslavement. Another familiar character and one that readers will find similar to the quintessential distressed damsel and lovable princess found in the collective understanding of ideal females.

Not quite a unique story but not a mundane story either. Joya's characters have a recurring theme of being sexy, bold, and upfront about their desires. The tension between Alexei and Joelle is also familiar to readers of the romance genre. Still, their particular love match warms the reader's heart and fodders the dream that wishing upon a star can manifest into happiness in the physical world. ( )
