Most sections have a small table with a few other parts of speech or commonly used phrases. A reference section at the end includes topics like time, night and day, calendar, numbers, weights and measures, a world map, a list of countries and their flags, "particles" and antonyms, useful phrases, and a bilingual index.
The book does not address Ukrainian grammar, which is very difficult for a native English speaker. Seriously, 7 cases makes German look easy! However, if you have a sudden need to speak Ukrainian, you could probably accomplish a lot with this book plus a lot of arm waving.
