I have been slow to get to this title. It arrived within a few weeks of my starting a new role at work, a role in which I have been plagued with new leadership problems and self-doubt. I am working my way slowly through the discussion and the exercises now.

I found this to be a well written book and laid out in a helpful way. Too often self help or self development books stay very high level, just repeating the same concepts in different ways and reorganizing them into new acronyms without giving you concrete ways to develop these skills. The alternative is a book so full of details and steps; without a framework to guide it - that the reader becomes lost or overwhelmed. This book was a good balance of explaining concepts to improvement, providing examples and then giving concrete well laid out steps someone can take to develop. I think it will be helpful in both business life and my personal life. ( )

This is a great tool to develop success and satisfaction in both your career and personal life. Everyone can benefit from the advice no matter what stage of their career they are in, but it would be especially beneficial early on. The topics are laid out in concise, interesting chapters that include personal stories and advice from people all over the world. Each chapter also has easy to understand information and plans to implement the information. The additional reading suggestions and thought provoking questions at the end of each chapter allow great self reflection and would be useful as a tool for leaders to use to develop a great team. Definitely recommend to anyone lookong to have a successful and fulfilling career and life ( )
