"We know the painter, the draftsman, the sculptor, the poster designer ... Today, thanks to the archives and documents inherited by the family and remained so far in the private sphere, the Foundation proposes to discover the link of the artist to photography. The camera lenses of Folon captured very early the atmosphere of the city and the emblematic signs of its graphic vocabulary: arrows, roads, faces, masks ... The photography is omnipresent in the construction of the visual thought of the artist. Starting point or source of inspiration, it is inseparable from the work of the painter. The photographer's eye fixes the idea in the same way as a sketch on the paper. Other more personal photos have captured moments of complicity with the accomplices of an era: Pierre Alechinsky, C©♭sar, Federico Fellini, Milton Glaser, David Hockney, Yves Montand, Saul Steinberg ...
