This is a super cute, fun little graphic novel. Narwhalicorn and Jelly is a favorite comic/graphic novel for my kids, especially; my 8-year-old and 11-year-old loved this one. My 8-year-old is the one who ended up taking this book for her own and she loves it so much she keeps it right by her bed and likes to read and look at it very often. She laughs about it all the time and I looked at it a couple of times with her and it's a silly and fun graphic novel series where Narwhal wishes to be a unicorn and gets to be one and shares with Jelly what it's like to be a unicorn. It has super fun, whimsical, and cute illustrations with the story and it's a hit with my kids. Thanks to LibraryThing and Tundra Books for letting me read and review this entertaining book. Narwhalicorn and Jelly is the seventh installment of the Narwhal and Jelly Series. As usual, it is a cute tale involving two very different friends. This book finds Narwhal very excited to have an adventure, but Jelly is a bit apprehensive. Like a good friend, he goes along with Narwhal until he reaches his limit, and then gets upset. Narwhal realizes in hindsight that he wasn't listening to Jelly, and could have been a better friend. It all works out in the end, and both animals learn about being a good friend.

The first Narwhal and Jelly book was full of separate short stories and fact blurbs, but while this book has chapters, it is more one continuous story throughout the whole book, with just one fact sheet about unicorns. I think it makes a nice progression for beginning readers. ( )

This book is SO MUCH FUN! I (sort of) requested it for my kids, but we had a great time reading it together. The story and graphics are a delight, and my kids were captivated. As an adult reading with/to them, I enjoyed it every bit as much. These characters are entertaining, but don't descend into the low-level humor so many childrens' books seem to these days. I also appreciated the creativity of the author and the positive messaging within the story. Definitely 5 stars, and I'll be seeking out more in this series to add to our collection. ( )

Love love love it! My 4 year old and I have been reading this book on repeat. We love this series. This book is just as funny an adventure as the others.

This story was absolutely precious. I thought I might be lost because I hadn't read any of the other books in the series, but that wasn't the case. These are all stand alone stories as far as I can tell. It's a quick read, but has a good message. I would recommend it for kids ages 7+. The illustrations are bright and vibrant as well. Over all just a good book. 5/5 stars.
