I love true Crime but wish I had had the hard copy to read. While the ebook was nice, I got lost a few times. Otherwise it was a very well written telling of true crime stories. ( )

This was a great super compelling read. The stories were very concisely written and each one was clearly written. I can see why there’s a volume 5–readers of this series will want more and more. Keep writing ‘em please! ( )

first, one of this series I have read and I will be looking at the other books. I love true crime; reading about it, and watching it on tv. This def. met the urge to read this genre with fascinating details and interesting reading. Started and kept reading, absorbing my interest. Would recommend to anyone that loves true crime!

I became a fan of the True Crime Storytime volumes a while back and have enjoyed every single one. Volume 5: 12 Disturbing True Crime Stories to Keep You Up All Night did not disappoint. But if you’re looking for a happily ever after, you won’t find it here. Some of the cold cases revealed in this volume remain cold. Each depicted crime offers a glimpse into a group of the scariest villains imaginable. The one that stuck out from the group for me was A Gruesome Girls Getaway. Definitely a worthwhile read. ( )

Well they didn't keep me up all night because I am pretty tough, but this collection of true crime stories were certainly captivating and will make you look over your shoulder in that dark alley.

These profiled crime narratives come from the 1960's and a few you may recognize if you were around in that era. The Richard Speck nurse murders being the most notorious here. And this book will definitely fill you in on some of the details, in particular about the bio of the perp.

Some of the other stories will send chills up your spine because those perps were never apprehended and were left as cold cases. Thankfully coming from the 60's they probably at hard labor for eternity shoveling flaming cinders. In some it was pretty obvious who they were but they could not be brought to justice for various reasons. You will have to read the book because I ain't talkin'.

Overall if you are a true crime fine you will find this book very worthwhile and in some respects astounding of what these people pull off and the horror and suffering they left behind for so many. The crime of murder is not something we every want to be part of for sure but knowing it is out there should keep up all on our guard as much as possible. The true crime books like this one can sharpen your awareness and get a insight into motives. ( )
