Watch my reviews here: https://www.youtube.com/@starkissedstories This was stellar - it encompassed absolutely everything to do with funghi (mushrooms, yeast, lichen, mold- the lot) from its culinary uses, to its medicinal ones, and its role in folklore, pop culture and everything on this planet. The illustrations were divine - I want to rip out every page and hang it on my wall. Whilst it covers a BROAD range of topics, because of that it only touches upon them briefly, so for exmaple don't expect pages upon pages on psilocybin and its uses. But honestly, this book was very well done and would also make an excellent coffee table book. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
Explore the wonderful world of some of the most incredible natural forms on our planet - fungi. At the centre of countless superstitions, folkloric tales and magical beliefs, as well as appearing in recipes and medicines both traditional and modern, mushrooms have incredible powers. Featuring images of over 100 fascinating species, sourced from the archives at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, The Magic of Mushrooms shows that from saving lives to expanding the mind, the potential of these fascinating organisms should not be underestimated.
