7/10, a nice art collection and behind the scenes book of Heartstopper. ( )

I love the history of how Heartstopper was made and how it evolved over time. Nick and Charlie started off looking so different! I also love the further information provided about the characters, and the How To Draw section. My favorite section, however, is the AU section. I just love how much work and love has been poured into Heartstopper as a whole. ( )

A wonderful dive into the creative mind behind the heartstopper series, with added insights and info about all of our favorite characters. ( )

A scrapbook companion to the main series stuffed with character profiles, family trees, various other odds and ends, and a few delicious mini-comics. It's not essential, but completists will certainly appreciate the visit with the characters while awaiting the upcoming final volume.

Het Heartstopper jaarboek. Door: Alice Oseman.

43 jaar en mijn hart maakt een sprongetje als ik Het Heartstopper jaarboek in mijn brievenbus vind. Het boek is mooi, zo mooi, nog mooier dan ik had verwacht: hardcover, in kleur en met als extraatje een keitoffe bladwijzer.

Alle fans van Nick en Charlie moeten dit boek natuurlijk in huis halen. Moest je nog twijfelen, geen idee waarom maar stel dat je twijfelt: kopen! Waarom? Omdat het niet enkel een jaarboek is zoals je het zou verwachten: per persoon (in dit geval personage, oók Nellie en Henry) een profielpagina met weetjes maar ook een cartoonversie van Alice Oseman die hier en daar opduikt met extra, achter de schermen, info. Alsof dat nog niet genoeg is krijg je ook een ontstaansgeschiedenis van Heartstopper. In woord en beeld, met comics die je nog nooit zag en de allereerste versie van Charlie, van 2013! Nog meer fijns nodig om overtuigd te worden? Er is ook een quiz, stambomen, zelf Heartstopper leren tekenen, Halloween tekeningen, alternatieve universums,….

Je begrijpt dat dit boek een pareltje is, een hebbeding om te koesteren, een boek om verliefd op te worden. Alice Oseman is goud en mag van mij de nieuwe premier van Engeland worden. Ik hou van Charlie en Nick, ik hou van Heartstopper en ik hou van Alice! Kan niet wachten op meer Oseman-moois. ( )
