July 2018 audiobook from Amazon free for streaming to Echo ...

Probably my scattered mental state was more to blame than the recording but I didn't care too much for this full cast "adaptation" (does this mean abridged?? I guess so) ( )

I listened to the Audible dramatic presentation, and I must say they did a great job - most entertaining! Had some home projects to do, and this made the projects that much more enjoyable.

I read the book as a youngster many years ago, and it is, (from the best I can remember), one of the books which gave me a thirst for reading. A great story from start to finish!

This is a brilliant dramatization with great acting and sound production. Treasure Island is a classic worthy of the title and this treatment did it justice. If you're looking for a good audio drama, here it is. ( )

A classic, but just as good as a modern thriller. This audible version is a dramatization. I only checked my print version in one place, but it seemed to be true to the original. ( )

Great performance, meh story. I love pirates, adventure, historical settings, classics, and full cast performances. This story had all of that, yet it didn't entertain me like I hoped/expected.

I couldn't get into it, even with the very excellent voice cast carrying me through the tale. I suspect this just isn't the story for me, or perhaps it's one of those "must re-read later" kind of books.

All-in-all, not bad, just not great. ( )
