This book was about two dogs who have opposite personalities. It is cute, but there is not a huge storyline. I would say this is okay for Preschool-1st grade. I would probably not explicitly teach this in class, since I don't see a lot of educational value, but I would have this in my classroom library if I were a teacher for students to independently read. ( )

The story is sufficiently fun, but really, my family digs this one for its lively and playful illustrations.

A pair of Dachshunds, left home alone, bicker and get up to some mischief. The story is mostly okay, but the art was off-putting for me, especially when the dogs stand on their hind legs and start to resemble naked middle-aged men complete with their intimation of genitals. Ewww. ( )
