Letters of Note: Cats is a collection of funny, poignant, sad, and just plain weird letters written about, yes, cats. Letters writers include Charles Dickens, Florence Nightingale, Elizabeth Taylor, and Anne Frank.
As much as I love the convenience of e-mail, I miss the personalization of a handwritten letter. This collection of letters offers insight into the personal lives of these luminaries, as well as the historical period during which they were written. And, of course, we find out how they feel about cats.
This is an entertaining book for anyone who loves cats and/or who enjoys a voyeuristic glimpse back in time.
