Well….I loved this book until I didn’t. This is the story of a young Turkish woman, Adalet, whose life is filled with sorrows and ultimately joy. Her good looking husband, Yasar, wound up to be a cheater and they divorced, and her parents were killed in an earthquake. Through and because of a friendship she forged with an older woman, Fatma, Adalet begins to find happiness and, once again, love. Without giving away any more of the story, the thing I didn’t care for was Adalet at the end. So very selfish, not able to tolerate her boyfriend’s mother, who also suffered a significant loss, or to understand that she wasn’t acting normally. This one thing, near the end, was a turn off for me. An otherwise very enjoyable and interesting book.
